We have a new tactic for clearing the raptors in the Bloodlord's courtyard.
Last night a HAWC crew ventured into the jungle instance. After we laid utter waste to the Snake boss we cleared up to the Bloodlord. To shake things up a little bit we decided to AE down the raptors packs. *boink* Huh? AE down level 60 elites? Madness you say? Maybe, but the hackery was strong with us last night. Oh, did I mention we had three mages and four warlocks?
We just had Solly, Bloodeagle, and Kigora have a few seconds quality time with them and then it was "Once more onto the breech, dear friends!" with the squishies! worked like a charm. We dropped the packs in under 30 seconds.
Venoxis was nearly perfect. Sol was the only death and bought it only a split second before High Priest.
Oh, and the Bloodlord fight was nearly flawless in it's execution. He charged us a grand total of once. He dropped like a sack of taters without a single HAWC death. He coughed up a pair of really nice rings - one caster, one melee. Shamu got the caster ring and Sol won the melee ring. However, since Sol had won the Halberd of Smiting from the the BL on the last run and his hands were still quivering with excitement. with his hands shaking, he "slipped" when doling out the loot and the ring ended up going to Bloodeagle. ;) Golum, er I mean BE, is polishing the ring now.
At this point it was 9:30 and we lost about a quarter of the raid to the dreaded High Priest Sandman.
