A lot of us have started using Recount. Gives you tons of information and syncs with other users.

You'll hear people talk about recount, recap, damage meters, and violation. At the end of the day, you should use one that gives you the information that you want. They all have inaccuracies AFAIK (they tend to prejudice the report to make your personal damage look more uber...)when comparing to other players, but so long as you are consistent, and the group is consistent, the inaccuracies take care of themselves.

The addon that you REALLY need is Omen. It replaces KTM Threatmeter, and is a far better tool. Vital in Karazhan.

    I use recount.

It makes sense for any meter to record more damage for you than for anyone else. Why? Quite simple really. You will always be in range of your own damage, so you'll never miss a single thing. If someone who does not have the same meter as you is doing damage outside of your combat log range, you will not be able to record that.

In a perfect world where everyone runs the same meter, it won't miss anything.

I think Recount gives the best/most information that's relevant to me.

Try it for a while, and you'll probably notice the shortcomings in the other addons. =)

The best Overall raid tracker I have ever seen is wowwebstats.com Unsure of how many people need to be runnig the client but the data you retrieve is unbelievable. It keeps tracks of EVERYTHING that happens in the raid from potions used to self cast spells, literally everything. It also breaks it down nicely both by boss or player.

    Thanks for the responses,

I will look into your suggestions. Is omen the one that has the threat meter as well?

This is true... Period. There are no others when put against recount.
