Horde have been doing well in AV lately. Get the quest outside the AV entrance near Tarren Mill and you get a decent xbow that will sustain you until something 40DPS'ish drops. If you are part of an AV game where Horde wins then you get the reward. Or the Carapice Spine Xbow drops off of the Spider boss in Strath undead - 2nd boss on the left I believe - 20% drop rate.

Honestly I read alot of complaints from Hunters that have Blastershot and Strikers Mark (both around 39DPS) stating that they post higher DPS with thier Carapice Spine Xbow or Bloodseeker, both of which are 32DPS blue weapons. Until ranged weapons get a "normalization" fix like melee weapons did in 1.8 I don't see that changing due to the way attack power is added on multi-shot, aimed-shot and the fact that neither of those abilities cycles your auto-shot cooldown. Plus the first attack is always free of cooldown and every time we "turn off DPS" the slower weapon gains ground on the faster one. Just be careful about agg - if you get it run TOWARDS the mob if feign resists. ;)

If it helps any Wooti, I dropped skinning and did herbalism. then dropped that to mine. I should have stuck with Herbalism from a cash standpoint.
