Buying Adamantite Ore (now Fel Iron Ore too!)

I'm not sure if everyone is aware, since I posted this information 3 weeks ago inside another thread.

Brynd buys Adamantite Ore for 30 gold a stack (and be sure to only send full stacks of 20). Just mail Brynd COD for 30 gold, and I'll snatch it up.

This morning, I also dabbled in Fel Iron Ore, wondering how their drop rates are after the patch, and it's mighty close to the old Adamantite drop rates for blue gems. I bought out the AH to test, and the going price seemed to be around 15 gold a pop or less.

So, I am now buying Fel Iron Ore for 20 gold a stack (and be sure to only send full stacks of 20). Just mail Brynd COD for 20 gold, and I'll snatch it up.

For those that are curious, Brynd prospects the ore and sells the results. I still buy off the AH, but want to give guildies a premium over what I am willing to spend (25 max for Adamantite stacks, 15 max for Fel Iron), and guildies get a guaranteed sale without any AH listing fees.

So let's all make money and send me your ore!

Scratch that for Fel Iron Ore. Instead of 15 gold, make it 20 gold a pop. Seems Fel Iron Ore is more in the 15 gold range on the AH. I've edited my original post to reflect this.

Re: Buying Adamantite Ore (now Fel Iron Ore too!)

I've finally hit 100 stacks of Fel Iron Ore prospected this morning thanks to Potpie. Crunching the numbers of this large sample size, it's not good. My first 10 stacks yielded as many blue gems as the next 60 stacks. Overall, to make real money, I need to purchase stacks at 5 gold a pop or less.

So I'm pulling out of the Fel Iron Ore game, it's better for you guys to sell it on the AH. Potpie has been a machine, thanks for getting me ~60% of my prospected ore the last few days. Would have taken me another week or two to get my sample size up to 100.

Now Adamantite Ore, I still crave it. The drop rates are fantastic post patch. No real data there, but my general feeling is around 1 blue every 5 prosects (each 20 stack is 4 prospects). So keep sending me the Adamantite Ore stacks for 30 gold, it's a mondo money maker.

    Hehe, right on!

I'm sorry to lose the Fel Iron Ore - but I'll double my efforts on Adamantite, thanks!! :)
I did it for the lulz.

    *bump*

A reminder to all the miners out there, I still buy stacks of adamantite ore for 30 gold (ignore Fel Iron, it's a dog, I don't buy it anymore).

My stock of gems is getting low for the first time in a long, long while. Gone are the glory days of Potpie and Baf sending a combined 50+ stacks a day...
