Expect more restarts today, the AH is broken. ;)
I did it for the lulz.
I really highly recommend Spam Assassin. It blocks you getting messages from level 1 toons. I find it a lot less obtrusive than spam sentry - and we don't even know that the GMs are even watching the reports of the spammers.
Yep same here Desp - I would wait until I had (4) instances, then open a ticket. I'd usually have 2 tickets per day.
I will check out this SpamAssassin - although I can think of legitimate /whispers it would likely block.
What if a guildmate makes an alt, and wants to get a /ginvite? SpamAssassin would block it.
Another thing is the name - it's poorly chosen: there is a well established and popular open source email spam filtering project out there called SpamAssassin.

I thought the name was pretty stupid too - but I do enjoy the peace and quiet that it allows me.
Grab the latest version of SpamSentry. They updated it yesterday during the downtime.
Also, if you are using WoWAceUpdater there is a new version found here.
I watch Fox News, it's like wearing tight shoes, so you feel good when you take them off.
This was brought up through the weekend in chat here at the hut. There are two easy ways to deal with it. First is to communicate to the guild that we will need to have alts at least at lvl 2 (or some predetermined value) before we will tag. Sinc ethis will mostly apply to banks and mules, getting one level won't matter much. Maybe 3 kills.
The other situation is of friends outside of guild trying to send you a tell. I turn whisper off OFTEN, especially when I'm in an instance. I want to see what the party is putting in party chat. In that case, it isn't too much to ask people to invite you to group. If you''re grouped, it will reject the invite, but should flag your friend that you're a little busy and don't have time to chat. Or you are available, will recognize the toon, and can accept the invite and chat to your hearts content.
There is a way around these bastiges..
