I just updated all these last week. Because of the recent patch you will have to enable out of date mods for some to work.
I also recommend upping your addon memory use to 75+ megs.
I VERY highly recommend that you remove all mods from the Addon Folder before installing these mods.
WoW 2.0 Mod Collection - Revision 4
Advanced Tradeskill Window – Simply put this alters the crafting window by putting what you can make on the left and making it on the right. It allows multiple que’s, auto queing of mats (Have to make A, but it requires B and C, just select A and it auto-que’s B and C). It also will buy reagents from vendors and allows you to custom sort. A note, it does pause the game when you open it while it generates the list, but after a few times goes just fine
Atlas – I think most of you know this one. A very good map mod. Puts an icon on the mini-map for the options and to open.
Atlas Loot - This mod is both a seperate and connected mod to Atlas. It will show you loot for every boss in Live and quite a bit of stuff in the coming expansion. Warning - Do NOT try to link anything from the expansion or some stuff from Naxx yet. Doing so will result in an immediate disconnect from the game. Not everything is in yet for the expansion, and some of it has been changed since this list was created, and with the new server not everything has been seen now, but it is a nice mod.
Auctioneer – I think most of you know this one as well. With this you can scan the AH and get a saved database for what things sell for on the AH. Handy if you do a lot of auctions.
Banzai Alert – Ace2 – Simply put this mod gives you an audio (it says “Agro" ) and visual (the perimeter of the screen flashes red) alert when you gain agro. The flashing can get annoying, and possibly life threatening, and is able to be turned off. /banzai for a list of the options in your chat window (/banzai flash, though worded weird, turns off the flash).
Bongos – Ace2 – This is a very good bar mod. While not as powerful as Discord Action Bars, in a pinch it will get you through if you really like DAB. Allows for scaling, padding (space between the buttons), layout, location placement, and transparency. /bongos will show you the options. Most of the options are self explanatory. A bonus is it allows you to set your keybindings with a check and mouse over. This also includes Bongos CastBar (This is part of the ActionBar portion now I believe. I just shrink it down to the smallest size and move it to an out of the way place), ActionBar (required), Options (required for a GUI to see the options), Stats (shows fps, memory), and Rollbar (lets you place where loot to be rolled on shows up). If you have any questions about stance/stealth/form bar swapping ask me. Basically you tell it what bar to enable swaping on, then tell it how many pages to skip. Tell it to skip 6 bars then bar 7 is where all the swapped actions will be.
Cartographer – Ace2 - Addons to manipulate the map. It sounds simple, but the transparency settings and movability are nice. It also allows the placement of markers/notes, and will auto-place notes when you talk to a guard to find someone (trainer and such). I use this instead of CT.
I added in Cartographer Herbalism for weed location. If you use the WoWAceUpdater (included) you can grab one for each of the gathering professions, and a few others if you like.
Chronometer – Ace2 - I really like this mod. What this mod does is shows you a timer bar for debufs and buffs you have on the target. As a hunter it shows the time left for Hunters Mark, Scorpid Sting, Wing Clip. On boss fights this thing rocks. According to the developer this works with all classes. You can move, size, alpha, a ton of options. This is another Ace2 mod. /chron shows the options in the chat window. /chron config is the best, and check “Show Anchor" to move, and “Test" to get an idea of how you want to scale it to suit you.
CT-Mods – Included as the latest version. They are updating it almost weekly, but this is still the latest version and it does fully work. I included BuffMod, Core (required), MailMod, RABossMods, Raid Assistant, Timer, & Viewport.
Damage Meters – Another I think a lot are familiar with. Shows a lot of options from damage dealt and received, healing, healing received, for parties and raids.
Discord Unit Frames – Simply put one of the best mods to customize the look of your party frames out there. This is the most recent version and works flawlessly for me. /duf brings up the options. It can get a bit overwhelming at first, but is very much worth it.
eCastingbar – Quite a nice replacement for the default (crap) casting bar. This will show you delays (say for instance when you are getting hit while casting), and now shows the Enemy casting. I found this better than the default setting for enemy casting, as you can move it to a position that is easy to see. /ecastingbar or /ecb will bring up the Options window. So you know, the Mirror bar is used for secondary spells and effects, like Feign death on Hunters. I recommend checking “Hide Outline" once you get the bars placed where you want them as this will make them invisible till they are called for. A great mod for some bosses now to pop heals (spider in ZG for instance).
Enchantrix – A mod most are familiar with. Simply put this will show you the odds of what a magical item will disenchant into. There is a know issue with this actually showing the end DE result from another mod. For now I keep it active so it can get more accurate with all the new items.
Enhanced Tooltip – This is the backbone for any mod that hooks into the tooltip or allows customization of it. A requirement really.
EquipCompare – Another mod that a lot of people can’t live without. When any item that is equippable shows up, loot, linked, AH, this will show you the tooltip window for it, and a tooltip window of what you have equipped in the same slot. /eqc help for a listing of the options in the chat window. There is a bug where if you go from one type to another it doesn't change the compare from the original (go from a weapon to armor it will still compare weapon when mousing over the armor). Simply move off the new piece and back onto it.
ezDismount – This is a mod that once you use it you will wonder where it has been all your WoW life. Simply put, this dismounts you quickly and easily. Run to a Flight Master while on a mount, talk to him, and while you are selecting where you want to go, it dismounts you automagically. This also works to dismount you if you push an attack button and when you go to pick/mine. Also works in Shaman and Druid travel forms. /ezdismount for options. A note for those using a mod to auto-equip travel gear (Carrot and/or Mithril equipped boots) is that if you get into combat while you are mounted you will have to manually re-equip the non-travel items once out of combat.
GFW_AdSpace – If you don’t want to pay to much for that item on the AH (mostly recipes and patterns), when you mouse over an item it will tell you in the tooltip if it is sold at a vendor and whom and where that vendor is. I have found it is quite updated with the new expansion stuff already.
GFW_HuntersHelper – Simply put this mod is a must for hunters. It will show you what is available to learn when you mouse-over beasts that can be tamed. Currently all creatures in Live are in the database, and some in the expansion. More will be coming as it was used in beta quite a bit.
IceHUD – Ace2 - If you have used ArcHUD this is recognizable. The only real thing it doesn’t do that Arc did is have the option to show party members. Very customizable, and shows the regen rate of energy for. /icehud for the configuration window. A very customizable setup.
InFlight – This mod gives you a, well it kind of looks like a casting bar, showing you the time left till you land. Can be moved to a location other than middle of your screen. It also seems that the latest update wiped out a lot of flight data, but it learns the first time you go on a flight how long said flight is.
Informant – Partially Covered in Auctioneer, this is an item database mod for selling and buying from vendors and a database for Mobs on quests and more if I remember right). The default options are pretty good. If you need to configure, /informant shows the options in the chat window.
LootLink – Another well known by a lot of people. This offers a viewable database of any and every item you have ever seen. Type in /lootlink or /ll to bring up the window. Has it own Options button. Also known as Telo’s Lootlink – Enhanced. This is giving some grief to people, as with it on you cannot enable a duel with anyone. You can accept duels, just not start them. It is a known bug. I am currently looking for a different version, but this one does do a good job still.
ManaPerc – Just found this one and it is kind of neat. Simply it tells you how much that spell you cast will take, as a percentage, of your overall mana pool in the tooltip.
Mendeleev – This mods is actually pretty handy with LootLink or Ludwig. It shows the drop location of an item in the tooltip, I believe for bosses only, but I am not sure. There is a database already in it. /mendeleev for options.
Mik’s Scrolling Battle Text – A more option filled alternative to Scrolling Combat Text. Allows easier placement of where, and how, you want information given to you. /msbt for options. Many options are available.
MobHealth – Ace2 – A mod I am sure a lot of people are familiar with. This estimates a mobs health. It has an initial guess of the value, and it gets more accurate the more times you fight the mob. /mobhealth3 for chat window options. This is also part of MobHealth3_Blizzard Frames.
MobInfo2 – An almost required mod while questing. This can show you a whole boat load of information in the tooltip about a mob when you mouseover it. /mi2 for customization options. A known bug is the advanced features are not showing up in the tooltip. The author is working on it with the creators of the tooltip mods and trying to find a way around it/fix.
MobMitigation – A handy little mod that shows you the amount of damage mitigation that the target has to you. It changes to the class you are playing. Now at first it is at 0%, but as you fight it gets more and more accurate. Mouseover will tell you an estimation of it’s armor or magic resist. “/mobmitigation lock" you will want to do right off the bat, as it places the little window right in the dead-center of your screen. Simply drag it to where you want it and then /mobmitigation lock again to keep it there.
Monkey Mods – These include Quest (allows for tracking of quests, better than the default), Clock (a little clock, with alarm even), and Buddy (minimap icon, and allows a GUI to set options). A new addition is MonkeyQuestLog. When you click on a quest in MonkeyQuest you get a single window giving you the quest description, instead of having to open the full quest log. I am using MQL instead of EQL now.
MoveAnything – As the name implies it allows you to move pretty much anything you want. With the absence of CT Mods ability to move bags, I used this to move my bags and a few other windows. This adds a button in the Main Menu (pushing Esc). NOTE: There is a known issue of opening bags while in combat pops up an error. This is due to a change by Blizzard of limiting some windows being opened during combat and since MoveAnything can affect so many windows it is catching on bags when it isn’t supposed to. A fix is being worked on. It has also been updated to move the 7th bank bag.
OmniCC – Almost a must of an addon. Simply put this adds a visible numerical cooldown count on top of the icon for everything from spells, to potions, to your healthstone. /omnicc for options in the chat window.
QuickLoot – Instead of the loot window always showing up in the upper left corner of the screen this puts the loot window below your cursor. Some people love it, some find it annoying. I have found it to be a small time saver more than anything else.
Rating Buster – Ace2 - Not quite a must, but a highly recommended. With the new changes to spell hits, crit hit, all the combat ratings, this will show in the tooltip what the percentage actually is. This will also show the percentage on items that are now converted to the new format. Also, the combat ratings adjust as you level, this will automatically adjust to your level. /ratingbuster for chat options.
Recipe Book – Ever get a recipie/enchant/plan drop, but couldn’t remember if your alt or you can learn it/knows it. This will tell you in the tooltip. Just log into your alts (per account only as far as I know), and open up your crafting windows to let it find out what you can make.
SilverDragon – A neat little mod I found that will catalog, and even notify you, when a rare mob is around. Even will put a map mark on your World Map (if you have a mod that allows such). You can force it to scan the area around you (not entirely sure on the range, but I am pretty sure it is the same as how far out you can target). Includes a Minimap icon for settings.
Squeenix – Ace2 - Simply this is a square mini-map. As an addition it hides a few frames, and allows you to zoom in and out with the mouse-wheel while your cursor is over the mini-map (very handy). It can make positioning mini-map icons a bit of a pain, but not to much. /squeenix for chat window options, some of which are very nice (alpha and scale, and if you change the size just move it using MoveAnything).
Stubby – This allows addons that need it to be loaded on demand. Pretty much a must for some addons.
SuperInspect – An inspect mod that allows you a more detailed inspection than default. I believe the range is still rather limited, but it does not close out the window if the target you are inspecting goes out of range. It does seem to be almost back to pre-2.0 options.
Swatter! - Simply put this mod shows you, if you get an error, the entire error message. Very handy for figuring out any problems that may show up.
TheoryCraft2 – Most casters can’t live without this mod, and I have found it quite handy for melee too. This mod will tell you, in the icon for a spell/ability how much damage it will do to the current target. It takes into account armor, resistance, and can be configured for crits. I am just scratching the surface of what is possible with this mod. It can also really help with gear selection.
TinyTip with Extras and Options – Ace2 – This allows for a great deal of customization on the tooltip when you mouse over things. From placement, to anchoring, to letting you know a mob is needed for a quest (though this may be Informant that is doing this, have not verified). Almost a must have, especially for upcoming leveling. /tinytip brings up the options window.
Titan Bar – A whole collection of my favorite bar mod. Allows for many different (titan) mods to be plugged into it. While it doesn’t have as many as FuBar, I found it easier, more compact, easier to customize, and not a resource hog (though I had heard the memory leak in FuBar had been fixed). Included are TitanAmmo (shows how much ammo you have), Bag (Shows bag space), Coords (see where you are), Guild (a quick looksy of who is on), LootType, Money, Performance, Repair (can scan your inventory too), Rider (auto-equips your riding enchants and trinkets), Speed (shows how fast you are going as a percentage, still accurate with my testing), and XP (for leveling). Right-click on the bar for the options. It shows up at the bottom of your screen by default, and if you want you can split up the bars to top and bottom.
TrinketMenu – A lot of you probably know this one already. Another must have. It gives you a little window, scalable in size, for Trinket control and fast swapping. By default it has a mini-map icon, but if you turn that off /trinkey options brings up the options window. There is also a readme.txt in the folder.
WitchHunt – Ace2 - This can be really helpful is some encounters (especially bosses).. What this does it notifies you, in text on your screen, when a target is casting a spell. By default it will notify you when anyone around you is casting, though I think the anyone around you is limited to NPC’s. That can be turned off and limited to target only. /witchhunt will show the options in the chat window.
XLoot – I have grown fond of this mod. It not only skins the loot window to a smoother look, but can also show all loot in one window, instead of the limit of 4 to one frame in default. It also has the added bonus of allowing you to, with one click, to link everything, or at a certain threshold, to chat. I believe /xloot will come up with options, otherwise kill something, click on the little “Quick Link" text at the bottom right corner to set your options. An update is it will now tell you what is a quest item, BoP, BoE, right on the loot.
