    Dark Iron items...

I'm looking to get a pair of the Dark Iron legs made for Ryndstrum. Before I try to get a run set up with Potpie, wanted to see if anyone else needs/wants Dark Iron items made. Might as well have PP make as many items as he can for people while at the Blank Anvil.

Id hold off till you know whats required in BC for resist and item wise. Lvl 60 FR gear may be a waste now since MC will become the way of the Wailing Caverns in two weeks .

I was thinking the opposite, get it made before hand to "maximize" my FR until upgrades can finally be had. Of course, that assumes the content grinding up to 70 would need Rags level FR here and there. Knowing how that grind up is probably catered to casual players, guess your point is valid, Kul...

I understand your sentiment but disagree that it will be a place to single-hand farm in a couple weeks. And I have not seen anything anywhere yet that will replace the DI fire resist stuff in BC. I have heard rumors it isn't necessary, but thats OK. I trust Bliz not, and when I see it, I will believe it.

That said, the lvl 60 FR gear is AWFULLY mat-expensive, and if you are at 140-150 or so FR, I would agree that more is probably overkill. In a couple levels your life pool will offset the extra damage you'd take in a fire fight. The legs have nice AC, but the whole FR set is lacking in stam/str and was a dissappointment to me beyond FR.

What Shiz brought up is true, that your HP and Stam are going up in BC, but the mobs also hit harder. They scale right with us.

As to MC becoming the new WC. Maybe. Me and Swarfy two-manned Deadside, up to and including Rammy at level 70, and we were resisting about 80% of all spells thrown at us. So it might, but it won't truly become a walk in the park.

So far in the instances me and Swarfy have hit resists are handy for some of the bosses, but so far not a whole run, or good portion of a run (MC).

Hmmm, digging through Thottbot.com's beta loot tables, and came across something interesting, http://thottbot.com/beta?i=8512 this is a token turn in, and if you look further down the page, there is some hardcore FR gear. The Inferno gear looks heavy in FR, and low in everything else. So just maybe some resist gear will be necessary still....

It probably will be. The current DI set though I fear will be like the thorium magic resist armor. Killer at 52-53, useless at 60. Not enough damage mitigation to be helpful. If they have high-end FR, probably means gearing a new set about 65 or so. Will have to wait and see a few days :)

Looks you get that new FR set by faction grinding for marks. /e Waves bye-bye to dark iron. Id wouldnt craft unless you need the skill up at release...provided we can login with 90%+ of the population in outland.

Indeed. I have one great hope, that with Blackhand being an old server population, when all the 60's beat feet for the outlands, the farmers will go with, and players will be able to get the ores/plants/fabrics that they need.

Those new servers for Outland better be pretty robust servers, that's for sure.
