I did it for the lulz.
The change to make the bat boss, Jeklik, so much harder was a huge mistake.
The waves of bats that you have to AE down makes things so hard. Throw in random silences on our healers and its really no fun to play in ZG...
the snake boss encounter didn't change, except its still harder than hell to keep a MT up unless you are overhealing the crap out of him when he switches to Snake Form.
We lost our tanks and then leashed the guy to reset him, but he got bugged and became an invalid target.
Getting 20 people together for ZG is an accomplishment in itself, but then Blizzard makes the instance so hard that its really not worth it to go. It wasn't worth it to go when Jeklik was easier to kill... now its even less worth it.

I'd hesitate on calling it a bright side until I see the rewards, but supposedly they've got 20 man raid bosses that are summonable in silithus now. As nearly as I can tell from what I've seen thus far I still have no reason to do any of the stuff in there...stinking mail order quest rewards, what the hell is that?

No good deed goes unpunished.
Mail order quest rewards? I dont understand.
There are also 4 new dragons we could attempt to kill. any news on those?
The quests rewards aint much to scream about Ruuk...at this time... Not sure what the epics and blue drops are though. The epics will only come from, yup you guessed it, 20 man silithus raid.
Still it was fun to be out there when 3/4 of the server population was out there. Working the bug tunnels like Aliens should be a dandy experience. Im game with anyone else.

I have been doing some research and I think the answer to our woes (at least for Snake and the Bloodlord) is not more healers, but more healing. We need the healers to spam heal and by that I mean, if the MT has aggro, they are casting their fastest heal every time it comes up -- even if the tank is at 100% health you are healing. We keep having burst damage problems and having the tank die.
you are probably worried about running out of mana, but that can be solved by having a second group of 3 healers who have innervate available and maybe have MTT to keep mana up. They step in when group 1 healing team is at 20% or so mana. Then both teams heal to ensure a smooth handoff and group 2 takes over. Group 1 just sits there while group 2 does MT healing and they step back in when group 2 is low on mana or if someone gets silenced, agged, etc...
Something on the order of Rawk's heal spamminess is necessary to allow the main tank to do the job on these end-game type mobs. http://www.hordelandsecurity.org/for...p?t=306&page=2
