HAWC Downs Ragnaros

On Sunday, July 23rd, 2006, HAWC assembled it's finest forces and set forth to down our final nemesis in Molten Core.

The raid tore through the instance with a vengence. Sulfuron, Golemagg, and Majordomo were barely speed bumps on our way to fate's embrace.

We reached Rags' Lair and the DPS fanned out, flanking the spot where he would emerge. Everyone downed their consumables and we kicked off the event. Ranged DPS tore into him like a living thing. When the sons emerged Ragnaros was down to 28%. Handling the sons was a little messy but they were all dead by the time Ragnaros re-emerged and the vast majority of the raid was intact. Again we fanned out and pumped all the damage we could muster into him. With the final tick from Duerdon's DoT Rags succumbed.

LOL It was that and Insect Swarm. :) I hit every mob I am able to with it constantly since it has a chance to make them miss. Hooraay dots! :p

I thought it was kind of funny when I yelled out 'More damage, everyone.. whatever you've got.. moonfire!!' and I saw all the druids perk up and run towards him, arms extended, yelling 'LA LA LA!!'
