    Fury Spec

Respecced fury before last nights raid, and it hurts! Titan showed I died about 13 times from pulling aggro straight off MTs or being the first to take aggro if a tank did die. The dps seems sick compared to MS. I alternated between dual-wielding the deathbringer and AV axe, to OEB/TUF. I noticed I went from 600k+ to about 830k in damage...and that included me mining ore in between.

All 3 options were very proportionate. I found it best to open up with the DW option for disgustingly fast rage gen and switch off to OEB later on boss fights. DW'ing seemed to give me the most deaths though, since I would toggle every buff option available and squeeze out some 1800 AP, 29% crit, with WF totems for the pain....pain on my minor gold amount.

The the most entertaining crit I had was 1337 with deathbringer. SCT scrolled to fast for me screenshot it =/ but it speaks for the new build. I was regularly squeezing crits out over 2k+ with a 1-hand weapon. ...Now I must learn to control the dmg output or at least balance it to make #1 on those dps charts...which is what can keel you.

And farming npcs.... I loves it!

You were doing all that with dual weilding, and you didn't even DW spec? Impressive.

BTW, when you talk about doing more damage, what are you comparing this run to? Previous 6 boss runs, or the two previous Wednesdays when we only did 4?

Just for an update, Kul, how are you liking this build after a few more days with it? I've got a baby warrior I'm raising who I've been playing using a MS build, working towards 31 arms/20 fury (currently level 51, so 31/11). It's basically a PvE soloing character at the moment, though I'm certainly still interested in any information about PvP, instance tanking, and raiding you (or anyone else) is interested in passing along.

Last night only improved my loving.

I was 15 mins late from enchanting helms for me and kig for FR. Started at position 50 and by the time we reached Sulf I hit dps #1. Even died on Rags 2x and brought it strong ;) What changed from my last run, I got DB from Ony and placed a crusader on it.

The build is far greater than arms. I really enjoy it with DWing, even if my offhand is a trash item. Upgrade expected here soon from MC or another DB would simply rock for this little orc fury warrior. I love slam, especially since I got a slow main hander, I can hit nearly every second...its a great rage dumper...and wont pull as much hate like HS does. Selected slam more for Sulforous but since I got DB it works great with the axe. My issue from last nights Rags kill was that I couldnt dump the rage fast enough on the all the mobs and bosses. ...and Im learning to balance threat/dps. Its really easy now pulling aggro.

For fury effectiveness I'd believe the furry warrior posts, that 1k AP is a must and minimum of -5% chance to miss.

OK, sounds like I'm better off sticking with MS for levelling, and will think about a respec after getting to 60. Thanks for all the information!

Think of arms as fire, for leveling a mage or pvp, and fury=ice for raid dps.

    Re: Fury Spec

I disagree with Kul. I leveled Ruuk all the way to 60 with DW. It was far superior to MS for me. I HATE standing and watching my character stand there and do nothing.

There are plenty of fast 1h weapons at lower levels to help you along. Talk to your guild BS about fast 1hers.

DW is very viable pre-1k AP for grinding and leveling. 1k AP makes it viable in raiding and more importantly in PVP. That is where DW was always weak. With 1k AP it comes into its own.

Ah, but I've got a nice blue 2her (Demonslayer) sitting in the bank that I can use when I get about 10k more exp. ;)
