i think we had a nice mix of healing and DPS and uber crowd control abilities. a great group no doubt. but, we didn't have the skills and experience to drop the bloodlord. holding aggro on this guy is an incredible pain. he seems to have some partial immunity to the default warrior Taunt. we tried him twice, before we had to hang it up. also, we didn't clear everything outside his ziggurat area... just a note that clearing all that would take another 30-60 minutes. so skip what you can before you go into the courtyard of the bloodlord.
i watched the video of a group dropping him on the beta server. they left the raptor up, and focused on the bloodlord first. they didn't appear to lose their MT, but the MT had trouble keeping aggro and I can definitely see why... he runs all over the place dropping agg easily. Once you start losing people, he starts leveling up and getting more and more uber. we had him down to about 76%, but started losing people every 15-20 seconds... he ended up going down to 70%, but by that point he was about level 80 and was hitting for 3000 on plate wearers.
gotta get a strategy to keep the DPS alive and manage aggro better. This is a long war with the bloodlord, and is not going to be over quick.
I can see why this formidable mob drops very nice weapons. he is a badass!
