Couldn't find one in the posts, but could someone post some comments/suggestions regarding Hunter tactics?
I can't help but think my current Target, Pet, Poison, Shoot tactic is rather limited and could definitely be improved upon.

When you don't get what you want, you gain experience.
for what level and what scenario? are you grinding, pvp'ing or raiding? very different roles... also what spec do you want to focus in? survival, pet or marksmanship?
Currently focusing on Solo adventuring for the most part, spec's are primarily in the Pet chains but will start filling out Marksmanship in a little bit.
well honestly there isn't much more to it at that level for a hunter solo grinding mobs for exp.
one thing you might incorporate is that tab key to find targets faster ;)
outside of that though it is mainly gear. shot rotations are pointless for low level pve and require talent expendiature and they eat mana.
your best bet is just like you initially stated... target, pet attack, dot, autoshot. don't bother with arcane if you are as the mana could likely be used better elsewhere. you should never have to stop grinding and should be able to sic your pet on the next target while you loot the first. it's pretty constant but unfortunately pretty mindless as well.
a strong pet build does help getting to 60 without worrying about gear along the way.
