    I Am The Boss

OK, Arathi Basin is sooooo goddamn strategically simple to win.

I need 14 level 60s to come roll it with me.

Having played Stratego, Risk, Axis & Allies, Chess, etc. and understanding wtf is up with such things is a must.

    Dumbass Noobs need not apply.
I did it for the lulz.

Count me on the HAWC team

If I am not on my FR gear quest than yeah I'm in. You shown a great deal of leadership tonight and hopefully HAWC's name will be feared in AB.

Sounds fun to me, I should have done that instead of messing with my cow alt last night.

    Ow my pancreas.
    I was not just drunk, I was DEEE-RUNK. ;)

I did have a blast in Arathi Basin until 0300 Blackhand Server Time though!

It's kind of easy strategically thinking, but no one seemed able to grasp it:
hold the farm, never EVER give it up.
Take the mill, smith, mine as needed to win.
Stables are not necessary, screw the stables, we don't need 'em.

Everyone should be raided up and have CT Raid Assist running. The leader calls out group #s and tells them where to go.

As soon as this throbbing at the base of my skull goes away, I'm headed back in. :)
I did it for the lulz.

People seem un-naturally interested in the blacksmith on both sides. The most lopsided win I've been in, 7 of us attacked 8 of them at the blacksmith, while the remaining 3 managed to keep 3 of 4 of the outside bases at all times.

The biggest key I've noticed between success and failure is having a couple of people quickly bop to the alliance's undefended/lightly defended points to contest them and cut off the supply flow.

If Skunk Canyon is needed, many of our members would love to get in there with an organised group. lastnight I had to be a part of 9 horde vs 15 alliance in there, it was a matter the alliance camping our gy after taking all 5 points. At least the game was over in 5 minutes however.

Please, let me know when you go to AB.
I am tired of losing with PUG teams that play like 5 year old soccer teams (one big cluster moving around the field).

I like taking Blacksmith, Farm and Mill best. You have a good observation point from the Mill and your BS/farm forces can run back and forth between those two places fairly easily - leaving one for gank defense. Occasionally decap stables or mine if they push hard - but only send 1 or 2 rogues to do it. Not trying o cap at that point - just decap and stop their flow as was mentioned by an earlier poster.

Some fun fights but man paladins aggrivate me. 1 paladin guarding a resource spot with his timers up is a bitch. they take so long to kill that by the time you get them the reinforcements arrive. They are also good offensive healers but not as many doing that and they are failry easy to interupt unless they bubble. That's another reason I like defending the mill. Keep a priest on defense with you and mind control any paladins over the cliff.

i am about 2/5 of the way thru friendly to honored... long way to go until exalted but so far it is still fun.

I agree, Mill and BS offer you visual for the entire battle. Retaining those along with the farm are our best tactics. Generally we send two groups for the mill and one group with elite mounts and mount speed perks (anyone need mith spurs contact me) to the BS. Keeping a preist at the mill to MC alliance off the mountain with a hunter for support should be the best defence. The rest of the group for the mill assault should then turn to support the bs or charge the stables to have the alliance fall back from assualt to defense. Retain those then just use druids and rogues to wreck hell on the alliance rear guard at the mines or stables. Keep them distracted with zerg kill counts and you should be successful.
