With the Eye of Divinity within our priests grasps, I thought it might be nice to share some knowledge gained through experimentation to assist our priests in getting Benediction and all its splendor.
As many of you may know, the event to finish Benediction is definitely a trial on a priests abilities. However...we all know all HAWC priests are uber, so here are some tips to helping our priests quickly acquire this weapon.
First of all, there can be more than one person in the area of the event. The catch is, once the event has started NOBODY within the area can move. If you have a tank along...they just stand there and take damage from the 'tank' mobs. Same thing with anyone that comes along really. So priests...you don't have to do this event alone. Here's where the good stuff comes in though. If you have an additional healer that has the Spectral Essence trinket (which starts from this quest outside Scholo) equipped, then you have an advantage. The healer (or anyone, but we mainly care about healers since they are the only ones who can really assist) can equip the Spectral Essence trinket and see both the quest giver and the event once it begins. The rules to the assistant healer are as follows:
1) The assistant healer can NOT move once the event has started.
2) The assistant healer can NOT heal the priest that is doing the event.
3) The assistant healer can NOT do any damage of any kind to any mob.
4) The assistant healer can NOT heal any other players that have come to assist the event.
5) The assistant healer can heal him/herself & the citizens being attacked.
Healing other players once the event has started WILL end the event and make the priest doing the quest wait another 2 hours for the respawn of the quest giver. The same applies to each of the rules aforementioned.
So basically, you can have healers (with Spectral Essence trinket) helping you heal the mobs, which enables you to concentrate more on dispelling and killing the adds, which btw will attack your assistant healer(s) as they will gain healing agro...so keep an eye on him/her so they don't die and leave you by yourself.
Voila...easy Benediction. :)
