    MC Signup Question

Sorry if this has been covered before - but what is the procedure for being put on "reserve" if you have not previously attended an MC raid?

I have been #6 or #7 quite a few times, but have never went to MC - so for example, tonight I am #6, but as I understand it you cannot be put on "reserve" status until you have actually attended MC and been rolled onto the MC list...

I guess my question is, what should I be doing tonight? Should I zone in and wait to see if everyone shows up, should I make my guild rep aware when the call for reservists go out (even though I technically can't be listed as a reserve,) or should I just be logged in and if I get an invite cool, if not, cool?

Like I said before, sorry if I missed the discussion on this previously, I just want to make sure I am following procedures and helping HAWC out when needed.

I thought I saw at one point the following recommendation:

You would join the raid long enough to be put on the list then you would leave the raid and be put on reserve.

Not sure if this was ever implemented or not.

That jacked up the list somehow. If i am remembering correctly. Stay close to the core around start time and lets see what happens.

i thought we had a policy that you had to attend one mc run to be eligable for mc reserve status though i am not sure.

if that is the case i would talk to your hawc officers and see if someone could be bumped to get you on your first run so you can be eligable for reserve status in the future.

It's also entirely possible that being 6th you may get in anyway. Someone may be late or have sign in issues, etc, etc,

    Re: MC Signup Question

The policy is that you need to attend an MC raid before being eligible for reserve. Adding someone to the SK lists is easy whether they are in the raid or not. It's more the fact that a large number of people felt a player should have at least one run under their belt before they were allowed to gain list progression on reserve.

That being said, HLS is discussing what to do with our mages tonight. Furiusgeorge and Aredhel both voluntarily dropped themselves to the bottom of the signups last week so that mages from other guilds could attend. This week it will be either Mudsloth or myself that we drop to the bottom. If it's me I'll have to impose upon Wooti to run SK tonight and probably do invites. However, we are short of druids so if Mud brings Muddus we may be okay all around.

    Stay tuned....

Mud dropped off the list so that we could make room for other guild's mages. Its not cool to have any 1 guild bringing 90 or 100% of a class if other people are trying to get in.

if you are 6th or 7th on the list, show up anyway at around 7:15 (mid-week) or 6:45 (sundays) and make sure people know you are ready to go. You should know within 15 minutes if you are going to get to play... so your time invested is not wasted. The key is to show up on time and be ready to rumble, most of the time we invite the 6th mage due to a no show anyway!

key thing is that everyone sign up that wants to go so we can guage demand and make adjustments like this each week for parity sake.

Thanks for all the posts guys - I'm not trying to start any controversy, I just want to understand how our system works.

    See you all tonight!
