As it turns out, Revered faction is required to purchase this wonderful enchantment from the <Thorium Brotherhood> facioned vendor in BRD. Consequently, that involves quite a few BRD runs with the druid to build the faction and purchase the formula. I would really like to get this formula to help our casting classes that want this on their weapon (which from what I understand is quite a few people). This isn't so much a sign up sheet as just a heads up that I'll be asking for lots of help for BRD runs. If anyone has any suggestions for bringing up the <Thorium Brotherhood> faction outside of BRD, I'm all eye's. :)

On another enchanting note, I'm sure everyone is gathering quite a few green items that have the potential to yeild some nice Essence or Shards that would be very helpful in having people aquire their desired enchantment. Being one who enjoys assisting, feel free to mail me green/unusable items that you would like me to Disenchant and I will send you the results (please don't be discouraged if you recieve dust however....the items recieved from DE's are random and out of my hands). If you don't want any dust, please let me know in the mail and I'll keep it in my stockpile for further assistance.

Dang, this took some digging since it's not on the test realm patch notes any more. But, this might help in anyone's quest for Thorium Brotherhood faction.


Two new quests have been added to Thorium Point in the Searing Gorge
for Thorium Brotherhood reputation turnin for players with neutral
faction. You will now be able to turn in Iron and Heavy Leather to
increase your reputation with the Brotherhood.

The bad part for Thorium Brotherhood comes after you get to honored. You can use these to get to Friendly, and Dark Iron Residue from BRD to get to Honored, but after that it takes either Dark Iron (!) or Molten Core drops (!!!) to get faction boosts. Probably the suckiest faction in the game...

Agree with all the above. If you haven't spent any time in Searing Gorge, run up there and do all the quests. They are high 40 range, but they will help you build the faction with the Thorium Brotherhood (Thorium Point) is where you get the quests. With two almost 60's you ought to be able to knock the quests out in a about 2 hours I'd guess.

We have just finished most of the quests and one that is "repeatable" is to kill some Incendasaurs (in the bottom of the cauldron/slag pit area) you get a single hide off each kill, combine that with 1 coal and something else gives you faction similar to the way that the Argent dawn stuff works (turn it in). So add that to everything said above you ought to be able to hit honored pretty quickly without going into BRD, but from there it sounds like a pain. The only catch here is when we were there on Tuesday night it was heavily camped by level 60's, last night it wasn't camped while we were there.

I was planning on working on the faction for Muddus as well, but if you want to do it, that sounds just awesome to me, because I have very little patience for faction farming. :)

Here is what is required of you to get:


4 Kingsblood (Good thing I can get my shaman or pay 5-7gp tops unless it's under that for a stack of 20 in AH)
2 Scales
1 Coal


That's the quest items to friendly.

The Friendly to Honored is easier. I already got 1,000 Dark Iron Resue and I can turn in it anytime I want to after hitting Friendly.

From what I've read it takes 12000 points, so 2400 ore to go from honored to Revered. But I'm not so sure about Friendly to honored.

I think we had someone farming dark iron ore, so perhaps we can speed this process up a bit, but I think there is more than 1 person trying to get to that status as well, for other plans, not just the enchant.

Clearly the enchanters should get the first shot at this.

Sure is...though with the 1.7 patch you can also turn in Iron/Heavy Leather to increase faction, so not as much will be needed.
