I uploaded quartz to the resources>downloads section of our site.
I'd be interested to hear if you guys get this working.

I've been using Quartz for a couple weeks now. I have not messed with the latency comp thingie though.

I dont suffer from a lot of latency but from what I read its good at killing even a little lag.
Going to take a look into this,

I've been using it for Myrc and my hunter, and the most useful thing it does for the hunter is give you a "swing meter" (or shot meter) that shows exactly when your next Auto Shot will go off for your current haste.
It's awesome; makes weaving without a macro a lot easier.

Weaving?
Yeah, Myrc makes baskets while he plays...

Weaving?
Cast rotation. Some of casters have more than one spell. Mages, for example, have two: Either fireball or frostbolt and conjure water. I'm specced so I have +300 Liquify on my conjuring. Fear me.

Weaving?
Hunter term for manually clicking a shot like "Arcane shot" between a macro rotation, rather than just putting the shot in the macro itself.

Unlike War, I actually do weave other spells into my rotation as a mage. :umbrella: I have an instant (Fireblast) that I spam as often as it's up, Pyroblast (it's in there somewhere), fireball (bread and butter of my casting) and scorch.

try quartz, its very pretty to look at and is duh powerful for weaving.
reason I first got it was to make it easier to weave in .5 second slams between mortal strikes. I have to make sure that I always have rage to MS, in excess rage situations I weave in a .5 second slam but only if my white damage swing timer is in the first half of the bar. Slam resets the swing timer so that is why you don't want to slam LATE in a 3.8 second white damage swing. It has some latency compensation and ALSO gives you a Global cooldown visual queue that is next to your casting bar. (just have to set that up)
anyway, try and i guarantee you will like this over any other casting bar mod out there. It even is cool for making bandages.

Oh. I guess I weave Flame Shock in between Lightning Bolts then! ;)

I love the GCD chaser bar on Potpie, and I love the swing timer on Ctuchik.
Self-casting bar is good, target casting bar is good.
Quartz = good enough to date your sister!

So I loaded this last night and while it's pretty I'm not sure that's it's super uber. I do see the little "latency" in red at the end of my cast bar so I techincally can use that to cast a little early but I don't find that I look at my cast bar all that much while I'm gaming (and I already play by feel to a pretty good degree...in other words, I'm generally mashing my buttons at that time anyway).
With all that said I will put a disclaimer on there that says I spent most of the night playing pvp and watching a castbar is the last thing I have time to do but other than the global cooldown timer what are the other major benefits of this?
I don't mean to sound like a snob about it. I already know how long the global cooldown is. I don't use melee weapon where I have to wait for an attack to be over so I'm wondering if I missed anything.

People just said it upped their dps but they are probably all noobs so wtf idk. the mod has a lot of options to it, you might have to 'noodle' with it some.
I think it wins at being pretty, and its more helpful in pve. I don't look at it much at all in PVP either. If you have abilities that debuff people, it also puts some bars next to the cast bar timer that shows what debuffs you have on your current target.
Quartz has upped my game a bit with the swing timer. As it turns out if your enemy is within the 5 yard range at the 50% cast mark even if they run out post 50% they'll still get hit.
Quartz has helped a ton with timing those swings for maximum destruction.

I don't find it anywhere near as useful with Myrc as I do with Rago; that said, it does allow me to move the cast bar anywhere I want (and shape/size it) so that's nice.
Seems to me like it's excellent for anyone with a big swing/shot delay, or if you typically have a laggy connection.

That probably explains why I die so frequently after I blink. I know I got away from the hit, I blink away and fully reappear and then fall over dead. :(
