WoW 2.1 Mod Collection (http://clannadadraconis.org/%7Emurry/HLS/WoW%202.1%20Addon%20Compilation%20-%20HLS.zip) <- Linky Here
A few words here. Yes this is a lot of mods, but it isn't nearly as bad as you may think. With everything here running I barely top 50 meg of memory.
As you may notice a lot of these mods are Ace2 mods. I cannot stress enough going and getting WoWAceUpdater (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=178751) (the xxx-bin.zip one). It makes updating a majority of these mods so easy it is laughable, and they are updated very very often.
The easiest way to install these is to delete everything in your Addons folder (though copy a backup to your desktop as a just in case) and extract the contents of this zip to said Addons folder.
Enjoy
Advanced Tradeskill Window – Simply put this alters the crafting window by putting what you can make on the left and making it on the right. It allows multiple queue’s, auto queuing of mats (Have to make A, but it requires B and C, just select A and it auto-queue’s B and C). It also will buy reagents from vendors and allows you to custom sort. You can also drag the window to place it where you want. A note, it does pause the game when you open it the first time while it generates the list, but after a few times goes just fine.
Aspects Bar – Hunter Only – Ace2 – This is a handy little mod for Hunters where it will take all your aspects and put them in a separate bar. To move it hold down Control and right-click. It is limiting in layout, and I am looking for a more robust one, but so far I like it quite a bit.
Atlas – I think most of you know this one. A very good map mod. Puts an icon on the mini-map for the options and to open. This is the latest beta version, but fully working.
Atlas Loot – Ace2 - This mod is both a separate and connected mod to Atlas. It will show you loot for every boss in the game. A Warning here. Not everything is safe to link just yet. Up to Serpent Shrine and partially The Black Temple are in. This is also a beta version to go with Atlas and has recently switched to the Ace layout. AtlasDungeonLocs and AtlasOutddoorRaids are part of this collection.
Auctioneer – Latest build. I think most everyone is familiar with this mod and if you play the AH is a real benefit.
Banzai Alert – Ace2 – I highly recommend this mod. Simply put this mod gives you an audio (it says “Agro”) and visual (the perimeter of the screen flashes red) alert when you gain agro. The flashing can get annoying, and possibly life threatening, and is able to be turned off. /banzai for a list of the options in your chat window. (/banzai flash, though worded weird, turns off the flash)
Bongos2 – Ace2 – This is a very good bar mod. While not as powerful as Discord Action Bars, in a pinch it will get you through if you really like DAB. Allows for scaling, padding (space between the buttons), layout, location placement, and transparency. Puts a button on your mini-map for easy access to configuration. Most of the options are self explanatory. A bonus is it allows you to set your keybindings with a check and mouse over, and per character. This set includes, ActionBar (required), Options (required for a GUI to see the options), and Rollbar (lets you place where loot to be rolled on shows up in a window). If you have any questions about stance/stealth/form bar swapping ask me. Basically you tell it what bar to enable swaping on, then tell it how many pages to skip.
Cartographer – Ace2 - Addons to manipulate the map. It sounds simple, but the transparency settings and move ability are nice. It also allows the placement of markers. I included a LOT of the additions here. If you don’t want to use one of them you can simply delete it from the addons folder or just disable it. There are so many options here that it can be mind boggling. If you gather it can/will mark the locations, get quests it will mark them. It can get overloaded on marks at times, but can be a real time saver. Some of the key ones (I think) are Coordinates, Fishing, and GuildPositions.
Chronometer – Ace2 – This will show you a timer bar for debufs you have on the target. As a hunter it shows the time left for Hunters Mark, Scorpid Sting, Wing Clip. On boss fights this thing rocks. According to the developer this works with all classes. You can move, size, alpha, a ton of options. /chron shows the options in the chat window. /chron config is the best, and check “Show Anchor” to move, and “Test” to get an idea of how you want to scale it to suit you. This may have become redundant with the supposed addition Blizzard did in the default UI, but I have not tried the default yet.
CT-Mods – Included as the latest version. I included BuffMod, Core (required), MailMod, RABossMods, RaidAssist, & Viewport. As a note, it seems that the RABossMods still hasn’t been updated for TBC raids.
Damage Meters – Another I think a lot are familiar with. Shows a lot of options from damage dealt and received, healing, healing received, for parties and raids.
Discord Unit Frames – Simply put one of the best mods to customize the look of your party frames out there. This is the most recent version and works flawlessly for me. /duf brings up the options. It can get a bit overwhelming at first, but is very much worth it. If you have any questions about what/how to set it up feel free to send me a tell. Take some time with it and you can really start to see the range of options.
eCastingbar – Quite a nice replacement for the default (crap) casting bar. This will show you delays, and now shows the Enemy casting. I found this better than the default setting for enemy casting, as you can move it to a position that is easy to see. /ecastingbar or /ecb will bring up the Options window. So you know, the Mirror bar is used for secondary spells and effects, like Feign death on Hunters. I recommend checking “Hide Outline” once you get the bars placed where you want them as this will make them invisible till they are called for.
EnchantList – Ace2 – Want people to know what you can enchant, but don’t want to tell them. With this mod all a person simply has to do is whisper you with /enchant and they will get a response showing what you can do. For example !enchant gloves will show all enchants you can do to a pair of gloves. !enchant agility will show all agility enchants you can do. /enchantlist will bring up a text list of commands.
Enhanced Tooltip – This is the backbone for any mod that hooks into the tooltip or allows customization of it. A requirement really.
EquipCompare – Ace2 – Another mod that a lot of people can’t live without. When any item that can be equipped shows up in loot, linked, AH, this will show you the tooltip window for it, and a tooltip window of what you have equipped in the same slot. /eqc help for a listing of the options in the chat window.
FuBar – Ace2 – Well after some testing and talking to the maker I am back to using FuBar. For those that have used Titan Bars this does the same thing but uses less memory, has a lot more modules made for it and that can be plugged into it, and is updated way more often. The modules included here are: AmmoFu, BagFu, DurabilityFu (can also auto-repair), ExperienceFu (Now with Rested and Pet), GuildFu, LocationFu, LootTypeFu, MoneyFu, PerformanceFu, SpeedFu, and VolumeFu. You can drag and drop the different modules to where you want on the bar, or keep separate bars, or even mount some of them on the mini-map. Quite customizable.
GFW_AdSpace – A very handy mod to find recipies. Once you visit an NPC that has recipes on them it saves the location and adds it to the tooltip for that recipe. So if you are shopping on the AH for a recipe/pattern you don’t have yet it will tell you what NPC sells it (if you have seen it of course). A note that the person that made this mod, his site hasn’t been available for over a week, so it may be the last working version for a while. The same with HuntersHelper.
GFW_HuntersHelper – Simply put this mod is a must for hunters. It will show you what is available to learn when you mouse-over beasts that can be tamed. Currently all creatures in Live are in the database, and some in the expansion. While you are out fighting if you use Beast Lore on a creature it will store that data for that beast.
Hemlock – Ace2 – Rogue Only. A handy way to keep up with making poisons. When you visit a vendor that has poison reagents on them you get tabs on the right side of their window to make all the, highest ranked, poisons. You can set how many, and with Vanishing Powder, to auto-buy.
IceHUD – Ace2 – This is the mod that puts the “halo” effect in the center of your screen. If you have used ArcHUD this is recognizable. The only real thing it doesn’t do that Arc did is have the option to show party members. Very customizable, and shows the regen rate of energy for rogues. /icehud for the configuration window. Remember, you don’t have to do the curved bars.
InFlight –Ace2 - This mod gives you a, well it kind of looks like a casting bar, showing you the time left till you land. It can be moved to a location other than middle of your screen. If you go on a flight path where it doesn’t know how long it will take it times it and then stores the data. InFlight_Load is required for this to work.
Informant – Partially Covered in Auctioneer, this is an item database mod for selling and buying from vendors and a database for Mobs on quests and more if I remember right). The default options are pretty good. If you do need to configure this, /informant shows the options in the chat window.
ItemSync – Ace2 - To put it simply this is an item database. If you are familiar with LootLink then you are familiar with this. Anytime you see a new item it stores it in the database, and if you simply click on someone (of your own side) it will scan them and store any new items. The database is completely searchable as well. The only real downside is when you open up the searchable database it pauses your game for a few seconds. The mod also includes a little dragable window that shows the current number of items you have seen, but it also is the portal to allow access to the database.
King of the Jungle – Ace2 – Hunter Only - I found this quite handy, what it does it detects when your pet needs food and puts a large feed icon on your screen and feeds your pet. It doesn’t take stat food, just the highest level food in your inventory currently. More a time and bar saver atm, but handy. If you have different types of food that your pet will eat you get a selection (with tooltip) of what one to feed to your pet. Handy if you keep food for you and different food for your pet.
Main Assist – Ace2 - A god send here. In a nutshell this will add MT and MA windows just like CT does, but you don’t have to be in a raid. You have to set it yourself by entering in the name of the person who is the MT or MA. Like CT sadly it does not put a space in-between the MA and MT. It also hooks into CTRaidAssist and copies the MT windows set by CT so I recommend disabling it during Raids if the raid leader sets MT/MA windows. A bonus is if you are using marks it will show not just the MT’s target but what mark they have on them. Once you enter in a name it remembers it and then will assign it again automatically once you are in a party with them again.
ManaPerc – Ace2 - Simply put it tells you how much that spell you cast will take, as a percentage, of your overall mana pool in the tooltip. Nice if you like to crunch numbers.
MBB – Mini-Map Button Bag. Do you have a lot of icons all around your mini-map? Well this mod will take them all (except CT, which is semi-dragable) and put them in one spot for a drop down menu. Allows you to manually remove icons to put them back on the mini-map if you want. This really uncluttered my mini-map. Right-clicking on the icon will allow customization of where and for how long it will show you the buttons, and you can drag the Bag around your minimap.
Mik’s Scrolling Battle Text – A more option filled alternative to Scrolling Combat Text. Allows easier placement of where, and how, you want information given to you. /msbt for options. So many options are available for Triggers (Warriors for instance get a pop-up when Overpower is available, Hunters with Kill Command, and so on). Comes with BattleTextOptions.
MobHealth – Ace2 – A mod I am sure a lot of people are familiar with. This estimates a mobs health. It has an initial guess of the value, and it gets more accurate the more times you fight the mob. /mobhealth3 for chat window options. Latest version thanks to nymbia.
MobInfo2 – An almost required mod while questing. This can show you a whole boat load of information in the tooltip about a mob when you mouseover it. /mi2 for customization options.
Monkey Mods – These include Quest (allows for tracking of quests, better than the default), Clock (a little clock, with alarm even), and Buddy (minimap icon, and allows a GUI to set options). A new addition is MonkeyQuestLog. When you click on a quest in MonkeyQuest you get a single window giving you the quest description, instead of having to open the full quest log.
MovableBag – A simple little mod that allows you to move your bags to where you want them. Type in /movablebags unlock and you can move all your bags, even the bank ones (though you have to have them open at the bank naturally), and when they are in the position you want them type in /movablebags lock. With MoveAnything being horribly broken and an update to it looking more and more like it isn’t coming soon, this is the best replacement I found to move your bags.
OmniCC – Almost a must of an addon. Simply put this adds a visible numerical cooldown count on top of the icon for everything from spells, to potions, to your healthstone. /omnicc for options in the chat window. This latest version will also, when the countdown is complete, give you a visual, well it kind of looks like an explosion of your icon, to grab your attention.
RaidManager – Thanks to our lovable Warcaster, here is the latest version we are all familiar with I am sure.
Rating Buster – Ace2 - Not quite a must, but a highly recommended. With the new changes to spell hits, crit, to hit, and all the combat ratings, this will show in the tooltip what the percentage actually is. This will also show the percentage on items that are now converted to the new format. Also as the combat ratings adjust as you level, this will automatically adjust to your level. /ratingbuster for chat options. There appears to be an issue with mana, intel, and hunters currently, but is being worked on.
RecipeBook – Simply put this mod remembers what your characters can craft. Then when a recipie/pattern drops and you mouse over it you can see who can make it, if an alt knows it, or even if you can. Now you do have to log on the alts and open your crafting windows, but just once (unless you learn something new).
Recipe Radar – Need to hunt down every vendor recipe in the game? Well this mod is for you then. It has a searchable database of recipes for all professions and where to get them. It can be sorted by learnable now (on both mains and alts), future learning, and more. Puts an icon on your mini-map.
RS ClassColors – Ace2 – Well, it’s a simple little mod that colors a characters name in chat to their class. Matches up to the colors the Raid window uses (that I’ve noticed so far). If nothing else adds some color to the chat window.
SilverDragon – Ace2 - A fun little mod that will mark the location of rare spawns on the map. Now it marks them where it sees them, and the limit is you have to be in click range. But it has been fun for me seeing stuff, and then going back at a later time to kill it. If you use FuBar it imbeds into that or if you don’t it makes a mini-map icon.
Simple Mount Equip – Get on a mount and this will equip your mount speed items (Crop, Spurs, Carrot, Enchant), get off the mount and it switches back to what you had on. It is also smart and will not equip anything else if you have the Riding Crop.
Spam Sentry – Ace2 - When you receive a whisper you get a notification and a two-click ability to report them to the GM. With Blizzard’s changes to Trial Accounts everyone noticed a huge downfall of spam whispers, and with the right-click ability to report people without opening a ticked this has slightly been pushed to the wayside. But, I have still gotten a few here and there (costs the pricks 15 bucks now though), and it still picks them up and allows easy reporting. Full Package includes bot, report, and rp.
Squeenix – Ace2 - Simply this is a square mini-map. As an addition it hides a few frames, and allows you to zoom in with the mouse-wheel while your cursor is over the mini-map (very handy). It can make positioning mini-map icons a bit of a pain, but not to much (and using MBB helps a ton). /squeenix for chat window options, some of which are very nice (alpha, scale, and a few others).
Stubby – This allows addons that need it to be loaded on demand. Required for most addons.
SuperInspect – An inspect mod that allows you to store profiles of those you have inspected and gives details about spell power, healing, def, and so on. You can also see their PvP standings. SuperInspectUI is also required.
Swatter – A mod from the makers of Auctioneer. If you get an error this pops a window up in the middle of your screen that shows you the full error message. Very handy for seeing what is wrong and reporting the errors to the makers of the mod (if you are so inclined).
TipBuddy – A tooltip placement mod. I believe this has been picked up by the Mirage group now, but it (almost) fully works. The only issue I have encountered, which is being looked at, is you may have to mouse-over someone twice to get their info. /tipbuddy brings up the GUI. The anchor can be right-clicked on to further define the placement of the tooltip.
TrinketMenu – A lot of you probably know this one already. Another must have. It gives you a little window, scalable in size, for Trinket control and fast swapping. By default it has a mini-map icon (in the MBB if you use it), but if you turn that off /trinket options brings up the options window. There is also a readme.txt in the folder. This can be a quite in-depth trinket swapper.
WitchHunt – Ace2 - This can be really helpful is some encounters (especially bosses). What this does it notifies you, in text on your screen, when a target is casting a spell. By default it will notify you when anyone around you is casting, though I think the default anyone around you is limited to NPC’s. That can be turned off and limited to target only. /witchhunt will show the options in the chat window. It can get a little spammy when you first have it on, but you adjust to picking up stuff fast, and anymore I don’t notice it when I am running around. One other thing I have noticed is you can see what spell (and its name) an NPC is casting and not to have them targeted.
XLoot – I have grown fond of this mod. It not only skins the loot window to a smoother look, but can also show all loot in one window, instead of the limit of 4 to one frame in default. It also has the added bonus of allowing you to, with one click, to link everything, at a certain threshold if you want, to chat. I believe /xloot will come up with options, otherwise kill something, click on the little “Quick Link” text at the bottom right corner to set your options. It also replaces QuickLoot by placing the loot window under your cursor (which the default will also do, but hey). Some people like that, some don’t, but it can be turned off.
