In search of primal nether

We've been gaming the Outlands for a while now, and have done countless runs into the level 70 instances.

Thott says that they are a random drop in the 5% range off the end bosses in any of the level 70 instances on regular mode.

Has anyone seen one/received on? They're BoP so they don't have any sell value. Crafters will need them for their crafted epics.

I personally haven't seen one and I've killed lots of lvl 70 instance bosses.

I've only ever seen 1 linked in guild chat and don't remember who it was that got it.

I wasn't aware Thott (or any of the databases) could distinguish between Normal and Heroic. I would assume the majority of those drops are from Heroic.

I've seen maybe one or two drop since TBC.

My guess is that you'll need to start farming Heroic.

Thott didn't identify other than who dropped them. Comments from contributers seemed to suggest it was an ordinary drop item.

there is a chance on any last boss in lvl 70 instances. from what i have read/heard only the last boss has a chance and it is a small chance. Personally I have never seen one drop.

I have heard they have a substantially higher drop rate on Heroic and can also drop off of any boss as well.

As soon as my Thrall faction gets up I plan on several Hellfire Heroic runs. I need 4 PN's myself but am in no rush which is good since it will take a bit I am sure.

I have seen two. One was off of the last guy in Set Halls, the second was off of the last guy in SV I think.

You remember if it was standard or heroic setting?

Standard. I haven't made it more than 100 feet into an instance on heroic - no bosses defeated.

well haven't looked through all the posts, so who knows if it's been said.. I have seen about 8, 9 neithers or so. SL, SH, SV, Tempest keep last bosses can drop them.

Mostly asked because I have yet to see even one. Been doing enough instances that odds are I should have seen 1-2 anyway. Apparently bad luck.

Have not had a queue since split. I drop by sometimes on my rogue "Junglist"

I have leveled wooti all the way and have completed the Beastlord Set.
