Blood Scythe from ZG

Last night in ZG I won the Blood Scythe. This is an herbalist item (not a trinket, just stays in your inventory) that gives me a chance to find bloodvine any time I pick flowers in ZG. Bloodvine is a component in all the bloodvine recipes (mail, leather, cloth, and engineering) that are faction purchases. Any bloodvine I get I'll hold for HAWC crafting. I've read varying reports on how often you find bloodvine. I only got one chance last night and there was no bloodvine with the golden sansam I picked (like swiftthistle it piggybacks on other herbs).

I, too, have the Blood Scythe. The drop rate on the bloodvine is horrible. I only got it once when I picked herbs. Hopefully you will have more luck than I did!
