I use the EpoxyTBC package, which can be found here:

http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=3353

The zip as of the time of this posting is attached as well for the sake of a mirror. On compilations like this, I install and then disable ALL for ALL characters, then I enable selectively by character instead of for ALL.

Here is the list I use with Potpeye on BC BEta, and will copy right over into Potpie on Blackhand. Green I use, Red I disable, Blue are Dependencies.

!!!Libs -- all your Ace2 libraries in one convenient line in your Addons GUI. "AIO Library Package"
!BugGrabber
!ClearFont
!OmniCC - awesome cooldown counts on everything!
!StopTheSpam
ag_UnitFrames - I like the default player portraits and frames, did not care for this
AlternateBlips
aUF_Banzai
AutoProfit
BanzaiAlert
Bongos
Bongos_ActionBar
Bongos_Options - Bongos is an AWESOME action bar mod. I've used TrinityButtons, and Bartender, and I like Bongos the best.
Bookmark - simply awesome, you can put little tiny bookmark icons in your tradeskill windows that jump directly to the item in your list.
BugSack
Cartographer - full featured maps, user pins and notes, etc.
Chronometer - duration bars on everything. I can drop a Earthbind totem and a Chronometer bar will come up and drain away as the totem duration does.
Clique - click-casting crutch I guess
ClosetGnome
ClosetGnome_Mount
ClosetGnome_Switcher - the name is dumb so I never enabled it to check out wtf it was
Coins
CT_MailMod
CW_Stuff
DeuceCommander - nice centralized menu for options on all Ace2 addons, goes right in the center of my Fubar
ErrorMonster - this supresses the red errors you get in the top center of your screen, like if you tried to cast and got a too far away or out of mana error. I like those large red text messages so I don't use this.
EzDismount - Rocks! automatically dismounts you when you try to do something you cannot do while mounted, or when you open a flight point map at a Flight Master.
FuBar - I've not been a fan of the docking bar type stuff like Titan, etc. When I got the EpoxyTBC compilation for running in beta, I thought I'd check it out, and I like it!
FuBar_BagFu - Shift+B toggle has always been enough for me
FuBar_DurabilityFu - little percentage plugin on Fubar, opens automatically when you talk to a repair NPC. Nice to have. Supresses the Blizzard Armored Man too if you like.
FuBar_FuXPFu - nice experience bar line along the top of your Fubar frame you have it docked to. Blue = xp earned, purple = rested xp potential
FuBar_GuildFu
FuBar_MailFu - Love it! Nice little Fubar plugin that tracks mail & AH messages and alerts you.
FuBar_MCPFu - Master Control Program, menu for enabling/disabling addons. Sorta like Chaos in Cosmos.
FuBar_MiniClockFu - nifty little clock
FuBar_MoneyFu - see your cash without opening bag
FuBar_PerformanceFu - memory, framerate, latency, etc. tracker
FuBar_QuestsFu
FuBar_TopScoreFu
FuBar_TrackerFu
FuBar_VolumeFu
FuBar_WhisperFu
IceHUD - I think the chevron looking bars / lines in this look crappy when compared to ArcHUD, so I don't use it. I'll wait until my precious ArcHUD is 2.0 ready.
IDCard
InFlight - sweet little "casting bar" that times flight paths and shows a deteriorating bar indicating flight time remaining.
Ludwig
Ludwig_SellValue
Mendeleev
mEnemyCastbar - dunno what this is: v2.0 has a enemy casting bar native in Interface Options > Advanced
MobHealth - learns and keeps track of monster hitpoints
myBindings2 - nice keystroke bindings manager
oCB - very pretty personal casting bar
oTweaks
PlayerMenu
Prat - powerful chat window management
Prat_FuBar2 - handy Fubar plugin menu for manipulating Prat settings
RatingBuster - relates back to old-fashioned WoW1 information into WoW2 tooltips! Like if something states "increases spell critical rating by 14" and you're level 60, RatingBuster puts a (1%) after the 14 in the tool tip.
sct
sctd
sctd_options
sct_options - I like Mik's Scrolling Battle Text far better, and I've obtained a WoW2 conversion of it. The original dev is working on a WoW2 that will be MSBT v4. My current conversion is v3.11 and I will be attaching it here in this thread
SeriousBuffTimers - makes nicer time remaining on buffs that Blizzard's default ones
ShoutCast!
SimpleCombatLog
Skinner
Squeenix - square minimap? No thank you.
TinyTip
TinyTipExtras
TinyTipOptions - Excellent ToolTips addon! Must Have!
vBagnon
vBagnon_Options - not sure what this is, I've never used any bag mods or felt I needed to.
WitchHunt
XLoot - great loot frame re-work - jumps loot window to your mouse cursor, jumps up the line as you take items from the window, and has a Link All button to boot!
XLootGroup
XLootMonitor

Myrkris, I don't know abou tyou, but if I used all these, I would feel like I was back on a 286 my machine would chug so much....

Jist kidding of course. I use the Insomniax pack + RTM, RM, and Characterprofiler. Never used Dab, too fussy and complex for my taste. I end up loading about 1/4 of the Insomniax collection. I do notice that for some reason, ItemSync and Auctioneer grab a lot of processor time and make my frame rate drop about 20%. Otherwise, mostly transparent except for space on the screen....

A couple additional that are not in the EpoxyTBC compilation that I use.

Fubar DPS - a personal DPS Meter that plugs into my Fubar.
Mik's Scrolling Battle Text - kicks SCT's ass IMO. :AR15firin
Outfitter - best gear set changer manager switcher-outer thingie I've used

The epoxy pack is actually what I started with in TBC beta. There were just a few that I didn't like so made my own pack.

And honestly, it doesn't slow my machine down a bit. In fact if anything I get a performance improvement just a bit.

I tried Outfitter once, but liked Wardrobe better so I dropped Outfitter. Might need to try again, though...

Heh, my non-use of add-ons stems from playing on an Athlon 950 for most of a year, before I got a mobo that would allow me to use the XP 1700+ I also had. Now I've got a Core Duo laptop, so I'm sure I could run more addons if I wanted.

Stuff I need to get from Redgar's list:

EquipCompare - I've been missing this in WoW2
SpellTips - sounds like what I like about TheoryCraft!
TrinketMenu - never used it, but I'm getting fancier with macros and spell damage boosters, so will have to check it out

Potpie
2006-12-04, 02:20 PM
Stuff I will need to have, but have not tested yet:

KLHThreatMeter - for monitoring aggro in raiding
CT_RaidAssist - looks promising that we'll have a WoW2 version relatively quickly
RaidManager v1.004 - War says it should be OK! ;)

Redgar
2006-12-04, 02:27 PM
There was a threat meter floating around for the beta, but not a KLH one.

And the CT stuff I just didn't include in my pack cause it was just what someone hacked together to get some stuff working, and I know that the CT crew is doing a lot of work on it all.

The one thing that Spelltips doesn't do that Theorycraft does is put the damage on the icon in your toolbar. I may run both (as I can't remember if TC does tooltips, but I think it does), but will probably drop it.

RaidManager v1.004 - War says it should be OK! ;)

"Should" being the operative word. Rumor has it there was a change to one of the loot item functions I use but I can't find anything concrete about it. If it actually was changed I'll need to make a small tweak. It's the fact that Blizzard makes some undocumented changes that has me slightly concerned.

ItemRack is by the author of TrinketMenu and does for your entire wardrobe what TM does for trinkets. Easy to use setup interface with Events for all types of things(mounting, skinning, Druid shifting, EPL zone-in etc).

Yah I have used ItemRack before, and found I liked Outfitter better. I'm not sure I even need TrinketMenu yet - it at least isn't a very high priority at this time.

Stuff I have in WoW1 that I don't have satisfactory replacements for in WoW2:

ArcHUD2 - it's just PRETTY compared to the alternatives. Plus I have Mik's Scrolling Battle Text arcing around its arc in wonderful parallel arc-ness.
Call of Elements - shaman-specific NICE totem management addon. Probably dead as of WoW2. OMG! Someone has updated it, must try tonight! http://coe.wyverex-cave.net/viewtopic.php?t=76&start=15
GuildProfiler and CharacterProfiler - for updating http://www.hordelandsecurity.org/characterprofiles. I expect I won't have any trouble finding updates for these, I just haven't done so yet.
PvPLog - same as above.
MiniMapZoom - removes the +/-, allows zoom in / zoom out via the scroll wheel when mouse is over minimap
ReagentHelper - lists professions an item is used for in item's tooltip.
TackleBox - easy fishing

Hey Potpie, IceHUD is pretty damn close. Though I am almost 100% ArchHUD did get an update to 2.0.

As to the Mini-map zoom, the square map mod I have in mine does do the mouse-wheel scrolling.

Me too! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when everything lines up. MSBT kicks SCT and takes its' lunch money.

Do you know of a different version?

That one you linked is actually just a quick hack of the lua to get it working. I think at it's core ArcHUD uses Ace in some form, so when whoever hacked around with it most of the options didn't work.

Officially I haven't seen a 2.0 version yet of ArchHUD.

*Edit* - it appears that there is a new 2.0 version of Arch out, it just hasn't updated on the sites yet.

I may be sticking with Ice for a bit as I really like it showing the regen rate for energy on my rogue, and I will be asking if they will implement mana and possibly rage in some form.

Despicable
2006-12-04, 03:21 PM
Yes, ArcHUD uses Ace.

Despicable has a Energy bar with ArcHUD. What does IceHUD do differently? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

What Ice does is it has a little line, scrolling from bottom to top, in the energy bar that shows the regen rate. When the line hits the top of the bar that is when you get energy back from the natural regen. I found it makes it a lot easier to time out shots for maximum efficiency

Main thing I don't like about IceHUD is those thick bars.

Can you make them slim and kinda 3D rounded & tapered, like ArcHUD? I also like to be able to move and arrange all the individual arcs/lines on left or right, and change their order from the center, etc.

I didn't dig too deep into it, as the first version I had was an early build, but yea, as far as.. hold on, let me log and see...

Yup, width, height, proportion, and space are all changeable by sliders.

Another nice thing is the developer is quite active on their forums. Want to see something just ask. I noted a few bugs with Bartender and asked for the fubar plugin and they were fixed and implemented that afternoon.

*Edit to the above Edit* - ArchHUD will be updated after the patch is applied according to the author.

I looked at ItemRack, but stuck with TrinketMenu because I liked the separate functionality for trinkets. Especially during PvP, I swap them out as I burn cooldowns and such, and that seemed a lot easier to do with TrinketMenu (though I may be missing some functionality in ItemRack that duplicates it, for all I know...).

i run both itemrack and trinketmenu. they seem to compliment each other.

is it compliment? or complement? I always get those confused and don't feel like looking it up.

Same here.

And that would be complement. When in doubt, just think of complementary colours :)

I think you do it through named sets. Using /itemset "Name goes here" and things happen. TM is a bit more elegant and straight-forward I think, but the design of ItemRack seems to be an extension of TM. When setting it up you can ctrl-left-click(might be shift) a slot and it creates a moveable bar of all the items that behaves very much like the TM two-button bar and allows switching of individual slots. When you slide the mouse over the bar you get a menu of all the inventory items that match that slot(like the 5 pairs of boots I have) and swaps whichever you select.

You have 5 pairs of boots? GD, I don't think I have 5 of anything but rings, and that's only because I've got some (like my Band of Servitude...) banked until BC. I'm going to switch to enchanting long enough to DE all the gear I no longer use. :)

Yeah, it's a bit excessive.
Defiler's and Blood Guard PvP boots, Corehound for FR, Stamina boots for Mithril Spurs, Pads of the Dread Wolf for AP set and the NS boots. Crap, that's six.

You'll need to skill up enchanting to disenchant higher level gear. In other words, you can only disenchant gear at a level you can also enchant.

Starting with tomorrow's patch, no more Level 1 DE Mules!

In Outfitter I just set my keybindings to CTRL1,2,etc for different presets. Less stuff on my screen always makes me happy.

Yar, that's nice to be able to do that - you can do direct bindings to Outfitter gear sets.

I like to make finger-mangling bindings, then map them over to a G-key on my Logitech G15 keyboard.

Like 4 Outfitter gear sets: CTRL-ALT-I,O,P,[

Then just map those over to G1, G2, G3, G4 ;)

Mik's Scrolling Battle Text... is there a way to recolor crits instead of having them just show up larger?

One thing I liked about SCT was it would actually recolor crits when you got them (mostly on when you dealt damage I believe).

I'm gonna give MSBT a go tonight, but so far it looks more like a simplified SCT, but a bit easier to understand.
