Based on the potential of having a "free" re-spec when 1.8 comes out, Manogan re-specced Restoration last night. I also bought / made several pieces of equipment to help the INT / SPI attributes as well. This will certainly help in the healing ability of the party.

I went on a ZG run on Monday night, and basically did nothing but stand around healing the healers, but outside of that I felt like I contributed nothing to the party. This re-spec will certainly make Manogan a more effective healer.

Two of the coolest new things were Nature's Swiftness and Innervate. The Swiftness, when activated, will make the next Nature spell an INSTANT CAST, and the Innervate will allow the target to regenerate mana 400% faster than normal out of combat, and 100% faster during combat. Those should come in pretty handy.

I did keep all my Feral based equipment as I will probably re-spec back to Feral when 1.8 is released... we shall see... ;)

I really enjoy having Nature's Swiftness, and I suspect you'll find it even more useful since my impression is that you've got more and longer casting times to deal with. Innervate is something you may find less use for, hard to say. Let's hope one of the druids who's had it comments. I found my equivalent, Mana Tide Totem, to be of limited usefulness so I respecced away from it eventually.

I don't know how well it works for druids, but you might want to consider a feral/restoration build once 1.8 comes out. If the new druid trees offer anything like the flexibility of the shaman trees, it'll be possible to get a lot of the functionality of both trees. The downside is you'll want two gear sets to take advantage of your flexibility.

Ask Muddus about Innervate -- seems like preists and mages are asking him for it all the time. ;)
