I have been grinding CC rep solo (slow as hell) and am 1/2 way to honored. I have been hording the twilight sets and have enough to summon 8 or 9 templars easily.

If anyone wants to come help destroy a camp and some templars - I welcome the company. Also, we should be able to summon a few dukes once I use up all the sets - so anyone that wants to kill a duke just let me know and we can schedule something on the calendar.

Also - if anyone has suggestions on speeding up the rep grind process - I am all ears...

Unka is the HLS expert on Silithus. That man has forgotten more about that place than I'll ever know. He did a post for us that I'll try to dig up for you, if it is okay with him.

Dreadfang & Zege did that for one afternoon.. was a grind, but fun.. since we did it with sort of reckless fashion..

Might be able to drop our other alts for an afternoon of AE carnage..

I'd love to kill some dukes, in fact I need to kill Duke of Cynders for a quest :)

Anticipating that Unka will be okay with this (if not I'M SORRY!) and also that I'll forget if I don't post this now, here is a message from Unka about faction farming in Silithus.

The ways to gain rep change as you gain levels. Initially, you get I rep per kill for the regular twilight guys, and more for the templars. If you want to grind rep and can solo the templars, I'd start with doing all the cenarion circle quests you can find (including all the ones in Moonglade and Felwood). Then, slaughter the twilight guys in any of the four camps in Silithus. As you get the three cloth armor drops, summon and kill the templars as you go. Most classes can solo them although there is indeed some technique you'll have to learn. The twilight guys also drop text pages, and if you've done the quests out of Cenarion Hold in Silithus, you'll be able to turn in the texts 10 at a time for 100 faction per turn-in. At revered, this becomes your ONLY way to gain faction.

Once you hit revered, continue to kill the twilight guys for the text turn-ins, but save your armor drops. There is a different quest line you should now consider starting. If you look at the faction rewards for Silithus (not the ones that require AQ20/40 drops), you'll see that various badges are required, along with appropriate faction, for the specific items available. YAt revered you should now start these quests. You'll get a quest for "unsigned field duty papers". Run down to Hive Regal and do the quest to kill the giant bug (you have to keep the named npc alive during this. If he dies just do it again until he lives). If you die, run down there, rez, and keep going - it's a long fight. Once the bug dies, talk to the npc that you kept alive, and he will sign your papers. Run back to Cenarian Hold, finish the quest there, and you will get a choice to continue on with either a logistic, tactical, or combat quest. Successful completion of these will give you 50 faction and a badge towards your item goal. Pound out these quests until you have the required amount of the various badges for the items you are after, and then go back to slaughtering the twilight guys and turning in the texts until you get the faction that you need.

Logistical quests usually require you to find certain items - bandages, crafted armor and weapons, etc. Tactical quests require you to take out specific mobs, such as the Prophet, Templars, find a hidden scout in one of the bug hives, etc. Combat always require you to take out 30 of a specific bug in any of the 3 hives. There are quite a few of every type, and when you complete one and turn it in to the quest giver, he will always give you a badge and another quest of the same type. You will quickly find that some quests are almost impossible to solo (Kill Morna and 5 of her buddies) and some are fairly easy and fun (kill templars). Remember that you can do the big bug quest many times and have many different quests in your quest log - even of the same type. The only problem is that occasionally when you complete a quest, the quest giver will give you the badge, and occasionally will try to give you the same quest as another in your querst log. If that happens, you can just save the "envelope" with the quest until you complete the one in your quest log. Then, you can open the envelope and receive the same quest again.

There are two "special" badges. You get these quests randomly by just completing and progressing through the combat, tactical, and logistics quests. The exalted one (Cenarion badge) requires you to kill the 5 dukes. This is a 5 man event and we'd be happy to help you with them. Just save up the quest drops from templars for a while, along with a good supply of the cloth armor, and we'll come down and plow through a bunch of Dukes with you. The other one is for the revered quest reward (forget the name) and it requires you to get 3 abdominal stitchings, some skin of shadow, and I forget what else. This, of course, requires multiple trips into Strat and Scholo. It is indeed possible to get these quests more than once, so you're not locked into a single quest reward for a particular faction.

Since the release of these quests, the twilight camps have been heavily camped. If they are, just persevere a bit. Normally this goes in waves, as other players get sick of looking for mobs and take off. Many times I'm in a camp with 10 other players scrounging for mobs, only to find that 10 minutes later I practically have the whole place to myself.

Any questions beyond this, just ask.

Forgot one thing. You can also turn in the quest drops from the templars and dukes for faction and items. You rarely get better than greens (if that) from the templar item turn-ins, but you can get some nice blues (and even rare purples) from turning in the dropsd from Dukes. Don't blow all your templar quest drops this way, as they are required to make the next level item that allows you to summon Dukes. I generally try to keep 15-20 of the templar drops on me at all times, and turn in anything above that for the 50 faction.

I need to kill the duke of cynders. But the best way to get cc rep fast is clear aq20 everytime the timer is up.

Hey all, figured I'd drop in for a post. I believe that unless it's changed, after you stop gaining rep from the cultists in the main camps, the Flamereaver cultists in the cave to the NE of the zone will still give you the 1 rep per kill, as well as a very good drop rate on texts and sets. About 24% on the texts if I recall. They are a little tougher, but the spawn rate is crazy fast compared to the camps and they're not usually camped.

I have started camping the cave Cynic mentioned - as there is "rarely" anyone in it.

I also agree with Wooti that AQ20 gives great faction - but our calendar is strectched pretty thin already. I would LOVE if we started alternating ZG and AQ - but I also understand that other people may have farther to go in ZG (I am 1/2 to revered - and do not need exalted.)

I will continue to farm for CC - anyone else that wants to team up and try for bonus faction is always welcome - and thanks for all the helpful posts!
