Mac Program Additions & Mods

Could anyone suggest Mods for the Mac which they've found useful?

Also, where they are located online and install processes would be additionally helpful.

Whats a Mac? Is that like a commodore vic 20?

As far as I know there is no distinction between Mac and PC mods. The only thing would be updaters and the like which are typically only for PC's. Cosmos comes to mind as does most of the profile updaters.
