With 1.10, shaman and druids will finally have something to put into their ranged slot besides Egan's Blaster. This is the example of one shaman relic that will be available:

Shaman

Totem of Rebirth
Relic
Requires level 57
Equip: Reduces the cooldown of your Reincarnation ability by 10 minutes.

For properly specced shaman, that means that we can self res every thirty minutes. Druids, here is a sample for you:

Druid

Idol of Rejuvination
Relic
Requires level 57
Equip: Increases the healing per 3 seconds on your Rejuvenation by up to 10

The discussion right now is centered on whether they will be putting stats on these, much like bows, guns, and wands have. Either way, I'm pretty excited to finally be able to carry around a totem.:01:

They damn well better put stats on them, since we're already gimped compared to the wand and bow classes due to our lack of any stat boosting items for that slot.

Then you've got a shitty wand. ;)

Well I use my wand for back up DPS.... therefore the DPS is what I go for. Currently all my wants have + resistance... so I guess I do have a bonus..

LOL My priest does 150 - 175 dps using her wand and Shadow Word: Pain. I can literally cast that once, bubble myself and wand a level 60 mob to death with maybe one Renew on myself. Oh, and she's a Disc/Holy priest. ;)

There are some serious DPS wands out there.

Oh wow... I never really thought of wands as anything but another slot to get some stats on.

Stormrager, my current, is +int and +stam plus does 63DPS. In long fights (Garr, BloodLord, etc) you'll see mage and priests (warlocks, too, but to a lesser extent) engaging with wands after we've gone OOM. Not quite our normal damage but 60DPS is better than zero. Better yet, it's ranged and mana-free.

Here's some other wands that are noteworthy:

Drops in BWL but is one of the best wands in the game:

Dragon's Touch
Binds when picked up
Wand
107 - 199 Fire Damage Speed 1.60
(95.6 damage per second)
+7 Stamina
+12 Intellect
Durability 75 / 75
Requires Level 60
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 6.

This one drops off Mar'li in Zul'Gurub. Not quite as nice but a hell of lot easier to get and it's a clear upgrade.

Mar'li's Touch
Binds when picked up
Wand
91 - 170 Nature Damage Speed 1.70
(76.8 damage per second)
+5 Stamina
+11 Intellect
+6 Spirit
Durability 75 / 75
Requires Level 60

I actually miss not having a wand on my druid and shaman.

So, if the wands are in the 60dps range, how is Ral getting 150dps out of hers when playing Habuji?

as she stated, she usees SW:P i addition to her wand.

SW:P is under 50dps (about 50 with talents, more with +damage gear?), so we're still talking about a 60dps wand accounting for 100-125dps in damage. Are wands affected by Attack Power? Hell, can a priest get an attack rating of 700 to get a 50dps boost, if so? I'm really curious because I remember Myrc bitching about how you couldn't do anything to boost wand damage over base back in the day.

wands base damage isn't affected by anything except talents and i doubt anyone has the 25% extra wand damage talents.

Does your mana regen work when you're firing off those wands?

It does. Really useful on the BL and Garr.

She could be using a different wand. there are wands that are over 90DPS.

In BWL, yeah, but I've never seen one over about 66dps drop so I'm guessing that's unlikely to be the reason. :) Anyway, doesn't really matter.

I get a lot of crits off of my wand, though I can't remember the dps on it. I do cast my Inner Fire spell when soloing, which gives me an attack power boost of 159 or so (I don't know if that makes a difference). A normal hit is usually around 150 and I crit a lot of times for 225+. In fact, my crit percentage is somewhere around 45% with my wand, according to the dps meter that I have running. Add that in with the SW:P and the meter shows 149 - 153 dps. And it's not just one meter. I've tried a number of them, and they all say the same thing.

Oh, and I carry that particular wand for the +11 int on it, not for the damage.
